The Importance of Nutrition

At FreshFit UK we understand the importance of nutrition.
A healthy and balanced approach to nutrition will enable you to succeed in both your physical and mental goals.

To be able to achieve your physical and mental goals your nutrition needs to be able to support all of the following:

⦁ Provide the fuel your body needs in your chosen activity.
⦁ Provide the fuel to enable your body to recover after your activity.
⦁ Enable brain function such that you’re alert and able to deal with whatever comes your way.

We know that sounds simple, right?
A little too simplified?

Well maybe – but we feel like the nutrition side of the fitness industry can be a minefield of contradictory advice and fads – therefore we’re simply not going to buy into them.

We advocate a balanced plate – it needs to have all of the major food groups included unless you have an intolerance to one or another, in which case you will have sought medical and/or specialist dietary advice.

How We Can Help

If you’re an existing Freshfitter then you’ll have access to our closed group on Facebook where we have a nutritionist write for us each month a series of recipes – it’s another great reason to join FreshFit and it’s free to active members.

However, if you’re not a Freshfitter then you can still get access to the types of recipes our Freshfitter’s get through our meal plans.

Now… a meal plan sounds like a diet, right?

We would like to think not.

It’s an opportunity to structure your day nutritionally in such a way that you can understand exactly what is going into your body and what is not, it’s an awesome control mechanism if you feel like you’re out of control at the moment.

If you don’t necessarily need a meal plan then it works to help provide you with the balanced plate you need.

It’s a win/win really and each meal plan is structured to give you a minimum calorific quantity each day made up of breakfast, a snack, lunch, a snack and dinner.
You really can’t go wrong and the recipes inside are not only delicious but also easy to refer to and from at any given time – whether you’re following the plan exactly or not.
